In contrast to his main show, where the clothes felt like they blew in straight from “The Wizard of Oz,” the Marc by Marc Jacobs show was surprisingly understated and streamlined. The guys wore crisp shirts with patterned slacks, while soft polos peeked out from underneath crumpled blazers. The girls waltzed out in short billowy dresses, or delicate blouses and tanks paired with high-waisted baggy trousers. Fanny packs and sneakers completed the Upper West Side-meets-high school look. The thing we love most about Marc by Marc clothes is that they’re current enough to make a statement this season, but they’re classic enough to wear over and over again down the line. We definitely spotted a few pieces that we can’t wait to get our hands on!
